KEY PRINCIPLES FROM THIS MESSAGE:
Counterfeits don't only deceive us, but they are DESTRUCTIVE, especially destroying our peace and intimacy with the Lord.
Anything we do to our own body, we are doing to God.
Perspective: why don't we think about how we're hurting the Lord when we sin?? Aren't we sinning against the One who died for us??
Blog; "Make Technology Your Slave, Not Your Master", from Jan 10, 2025
Instead of allowing technology to be your master, take control and put it back in its rightful place, as your slave. Technology has great utility, but it is a double-edged sword in that it represents access to destructive influences (often Internet “influencers” and/or “celebrities”). Do it now. What’s the alternative? More misery???
Jesus stayed holy for us for 33 years on this earth. He stayed 100% pure for us, separate from the world, so He could save us for all eternity. Let's be holy as He is holy, by leaning on His grace for strength each and every day!
Blog; "Temple Invasion" from July 12, 2019
I think it’s easy for some people to discard sexual sins because the world tells us they are a response to “natural feelings” and that abstinence is “unnatural” and therefore harmful. Such lies are so acceptable in our culture nowadays that we have to be extra careful to not allow our virtue to be diluted by them. The truth is that we profane Jesus Christ, personally, with sexual sins because at salvation we are made one with Him (Romans 6:3).
We should have a righteous indignation about being enslaved by anything in this world. That is Satan's delight - we should be angry at becoming his puppets!
What would happen if you started thanking God for the things in your life that you're resentful for??
William L. Lane on Hebrews 8
The earthly tabernacle and its priestly ministry were valid and real only because of the heavenly validity and reality to which they corresponded, in which they participated, and to which they referred.
